Hi,

ja war wirklich klasse. Ich denke auch das wir auf jeden Fall auf schwer spielen sollten wenn wir so viele sind. Ich kann abends so ab halb 10 eigentlich immer. Wir könnten ja auch nach der ULTRA heute spielen.

Patch 1 - Announcement
Release: tba (~ 15th March)



As you might have heard we are already working on the first massive patch for Men of War: Assault Squad.
We want to share some info already, before we post the actual change-list, so you guys get an idea what's happening and what you can expect.


General
The patch includes plenty of bug fixes, some performance improvements, especially shader wise, as well as some major balance tweaks.

One of the new core features are the upgraded tier 1 infantry (home guard) who are now coming with 2 type of classes, SMG and Riflemen. Some of them will carry very unique equipment for their faction and increase both their usability and quality making it a lot more enjoyable unit to use.

Japanese infantry will also see some major change by the introduction of many new infantry weapons, especially for their stormtroopers. Making it a more diverse and interesting faction to play!

In general the uncover radius of infantry will be reduced, addressing issues that you couldn't see some infantry hiding behind cover on very close distance. Also the small arms damage modifier has been reduced slightly increasing the duration of infantry combat.

Additionally there will be updated 3d Models of some tanks, an example here is the new Panther, now with the popular side skirts:

Multiplayer
In multiplayer we'll see a lot of balance tweaks, some special units will also see some boost in their usability as well as low tier medium tanks. For instance, the 2 points infantry will now come with more men to make them are more usable choice at the beginning of a match as well as later on.

Shotgunners will also see some major buff as they were accidentally nerfed with the latest changes in infantry combat. They are doing a hell of a damage now!

Additionally to map fixes we'll re-introduce a few classic maps from Men of War; updated to the new standards of Men of War: Assault Squad.


Skirmish
One of the improvements in skirmish is that higher achievements will now unlock lower ones, so when you finish a mission on hard, you will receive all achievements from easy to hard. So there isn't any need to play on an easier difficulty after you completed it on a harder one.

We are also working on a more complex call in system to avoid the cluttering of units at the map start, which should make it easier to manage newly joined troops in the heat of action. This feature is however not completed yet.

Of course there will be also some map issues addressed.


This is only a first preview of the patch! Many changes aren't mentioned yet, nor is the patch complete. It's still work in progress and will take some time until it will be released. Release date and change-list will be posted once the patch is completed and quality assured.
